I think you need to look up the definition of cheating, because we did not cheat to win that event, ever. It's apples and oranges to hack the EQ client and ghost events and to actually complete an event normally that just so happens to repop its own trigger mobs. Was it smart? No. Was it anywhere on the same level as hacking? Absolutely not. If you honestly think a mob repopping on its own is anywhere close to the same thing as using an outside utility to hack the EQ executable to ghost kill mobs or whatever it is they did... well I guess I can't argue with you, because it's plain as day to me that one is cheating and one is not. Am I saying it was smart to do? No, but to call both cheating is outright wrong in my opinion. We condensed three lockouts into one. It wasn't a smart thing to do, but it was in no way shape or form "cheating."

As for the second quote, I was talking about Naenayin and others who jump on guild hate bandwagons, not you. I know you were aiming this thread at Nae. I've always asked for such bashing to stop when I've seen it in guild chat. It was not my place to come to a mostly unmoderated forum such as this and scold him here. I told Nae, and others that judge whole guilds based on a few bad apples, that guilds have many people and it only takes a few to make them look bad, but that doesn't mean it applies to the whole guild. Many times that there are good people in guilds that have some bad apples. If I recall there used to be some people in IL that would semi-regularly train other groups etc, and I defended IL as a guild too because I knew of good people like Caan in the guild.

Now, as to the "bad guild leader" comment I may as well let the cat out of the bag (if it hasn't already) in that the rumor was Evo folded because you decided to let someone that was caught hacking back into the guild. I will not make any comments about that, because I don't know what happened in the slightest, and I didn't want to bring up painful memories for ex-Evolutia players, but that's what the rumor was, that Evo had hackers and you didn't want to get rid of them and that's why the guild fell apart. I'm not saying that rumor is true, I'm just saying that's what was bouncing around when it happened. I kept my nose out of it and discouraged Evolutia bashing in guild chat and on our boards etcetera.

From my perspective it looked like your guild had a handful of bad apples that Nae disliked, and he yes wrongfully put that attitude on to your entire guild because of them. Again, I'm not saying that was true, but that was my perspective, and I stayed out of it. I can verify what Nae said about people spreading baloney about some of our members supposedly hacking Steamfactory though. I personally got a tell from someone about that, and I tried to politely brush it off until Seychelle got her post done about our win, since she was very happy about us breaking into Steamfactory and I had no intention of ruining the moment for her, since she didn't want to post until we had the whole zone clear (which we did shortly after that). It's not like it was one way Hail. Like I said, some of the Evolutia members were spreading a crazy rumor that our Solteris raids were 1/2 FH members, I kid you not. In no way am I saying the whole of Evolutia deserved to be tainted by false rumors but it was hardly one way. Seriouslly, we got a good laugh at that. Who in their right mind thinks a top guild on a server (that still farms the zone no less) has enough people to spare to covertly send half a raid force to HE to raid Solteris. It was unreal. I can say EXACTLY why that happened in Solteris, or I can guess at least. We were a highly support heavy guild and we did Aprosis in a way that a majority of the guilds did not. We killed the adds. Did it take 20-30 min per kill when we first farmed him? Yes, but we did what we had to to farm him. I am guessing, perhaps wrongly, that because we were so support heavy that is why Commodus gave us less trouble than you. That's far less yummy gossip than FH covertly providing half our raids though, hehe.
