Man, Zun, you sure are a hypocrite. You really say you are sorry yada, yada, but at the same time you are sitting there saying you dont think it was wrong because you 'didnt get any more loot'. Thats the biggest crock of shit Ive seen. You DID get more loot. Getting more than 1 chest and looting it? Haha, really now... you claim it was the same as getting loot next week? Wrong. You CHEATED and EXPLOITED the bug that has been known for a year. That bug just doesnt happen, it is done purposely. We have NEVER had more than 1 spawn in all the time we've been there. Give everyone one a break and suck it up; you exploited the mini and got caught. You knew it wasnt right yet you still did it. What you should have done, was made everyone leave the DZ and re-enter instead of being stupid and greedy. Stop coming here making excuses or trying to justify things, everyone knows what happened and you got busted. It's over and done with. Move on, in a non-exploiting kind of way.
I've been 100% honest responding here. The fact of the matter is we didn't think it was a big deal. We thought it was common place, after it happened the first time we heard it was common. We thought three times was absolutely nothing, and we heard it was common for some guilds to have many weeks of lockouts. We heard they added the lockout extension as a fix. That is all 100% honest. You can call me stupid for going along with it and thinking all that was true, but don't call me a liar and say I knew it was wrong. I thought it seemed a bit fishy they'd fix it like that, but considering how fast they usually fix exploits I figured the lockout extension was a plausible fix. We were naive, but it was not malicious, and if you want to think otherwise that's your choice but we wouldn't have done it if we thought it was bad.

We didn't "cheat" anything. In hindsight exploited I'll admit, but we didn't think of it as that when we did it. We made a stupid mistake, but I will do my best to be honest about what happened and I will not just let someone try to play Mr./Ms. Psychic to try and tell me what I was thinking, no offense. I already said what I was thinking, and I was honest. I wouldn't lie about that. I responded here without even talking to the others in the leadership. I have no reason to be anything but honest here because we don't tolerate hacking and we made a rather silly mistake.

But cheat? No, we now know it was a stupid thing to do, but if we were actively cheating:
1.) We'd have gotten more than a small slap on the wrist if we were cheating. Had that not happened, I'd have been on even less that weekened than I was. It was such a small slap on the wrist it personally wouldn't have affected me that week. It was enough to let us know we shouldn't have done it, and we wouldn't have done it had we known it was considered an exploit. Call me naive if you want, or even call me stupid for that if you want, but please do not call me a liar or a cheat, because I am neither and that is a fact.

2.) Do you really think they'd have left us with the loot if it was THAT bad? It was dumb, but not outright cheating. We took down the event fair and square. The zone itself repopped the event. We got locked out for the time it would have taken. In fact, we can already do the event again Thursday. The only reason you didn't see it repop is because you did it faster, it's not some kind of convoluted exploit. The event does it on its own. I AM NOT SAYING THAT AS AN EXCUSE. I am merely giving an honest account of what happened. Remember, saying WHY something is done isn't the same as saying that there was nothing wrong with it in hindsight.

3.) I have no reason to lie. I've always been honest here. Again, if you want to think you are psychic and tell me I knew it was wrong, so be it, but I've already explained why I thought it wasn't. Anyone who knows me knows I'm rather gullible. The "the devs added a lockout extension as a fix" thing sounded like it made sense to me. Was I dumb for believing that? Well it appears so, but we made a mistake... we did not actively cheat. The simple fact is that it affected us no more than killing it once on a weekened would have. Now, am I saying it was smart in hind sight? Well no, but it doesn't make us cheats or exploiters either. It means we made a mistake, and I explained the course that led us to that error already several times. Now, if you want to call me a liar I guess there's nothing I can do to convince you otherwise. We really did believe that the extension of the lockout was put in as a fix. I'm sorry if you don't believe me when I say that.

4.) It's not like the loot dropped at our feet either. We had to beat the event each time. Now, does that mean it was an exploit? Obviously history shows that is true, even if at the time we didn't think it was. But a cheat? If we found a way to make the event pop three chests with no work now THAT would have been cheating. Of course, that's also not what happened.

I will not get hostile about this. But I do ask you this again: If we are supposed cheats don't you think we'd be missing from the game? Do you really think we'd have cleared all of MMM, all of our current Crystallos farm, as well as getting a few tries on new events this week if just a few days ago we were punished for "cheating?" Do you really think they'd let cheats get off so easily? They wouldn't. People tend to disappear for WEEKS when they cheat, I think. I never knew anyone this happened to, but I know GMs have outright disbanded guilds over stuff like that.

I know how it is when a guild is really caught with cheating. You'll hear about it and for weeks that guild is *poof* gone. That did not happen with HE. We were told we did something wrong, and now I admit we made that mistake and we were in error. I'd like to think that our four and a half year history of being a nice honest guild trumps one minor mistake. I did not personally know you Tanwen, so I cannot just assume you'd take my word, but I do my very best to do what is right and not to lie, and when someone is rude to me I do my best to rationally respond. I try to figure out why they are being rude and I try to explain to them my thoughts. Don't take my response as an excuse. I know we did something stupid now, and hindsight is 20/20. What I am doing is giving an honest account to say we made a mistake, but we are not cheats or exploiters, and we absolutely do not put up with hackers.

As to some of the posts from a small handful of my guild members, I can't really apologize for their rude words, but I do know they weren't exactly one way either. In the end however, they are merely words. I don't believe in getting angry over words. The fact is some people thought we must have known what we did was wrong. They were wrong. The fact is everyone online at the time of the incident thought that we were not doing anything wrong (if I recall I gave a little speech about the extended lockout and no one sent me a tell saying that doesn't fly). We were wrong. The issue comes when some try to say we knew, when we didn't. If you insist that we knew, I am afraid you are wrong. All I ask is that you please believe me. I've been nothing but honest in this thread, and that's the simple truth.

You got a version of that trick for breakneck? Now that really would be a time saver.

Oh man... it would be such a "joy" to do Breakneck three times in a row... (Granted after the whole zone is on farm Breakneck breezes by, but at first... bleeeeeeeh.)
